Hi. Cut a tooth crown/cap with carbide bur is always better and safety procedure as harm of underlying molar is almost zero. On the other hand traditional method of using crown removal for wiggle is ok but chances of molar breakage is college specially in root culvert treated (RCT) molar or moderate to severe decayed molar and sometime after tooth facture because of jerk, may terminate upwardly in tooth removal. Jerk may requite mild to moderate pain sensation too depwnding upon underlying toorh condition. Existence a Prosthodontist, i must say e'er better to go for crown removal past cutting with bur if possible. It takes five-30min depending upon the position and quality of crown.
Adjacent Steps
Go bespeak for crown removal with its cutting past a carbide bur. safe and painless.
